Sports Turf Management Apprenticeship – Greenkeeping

Our Facilities Management division has exciting opportunities for Apprentices in Sports Turf Management to join the team. Managing sporting & recreational facilities such as The Links Kennedy Bay Golf Course, you will get the have the chance to work on some of the best course WA has to offer.

Information 

Available for immediate start.
Located 30-40 minutes south of the Perth CBD.
Full-time with rostered weekends, early starts and predominantly outside.

Duties & Responsibilities

You will report to and receive direction from the Superintendent, undertaking tasks associated with:
• Repairs & Maintenance of greens, tees, fairways, bunkers, and clubhouse areas.
• Operation and maintenance of plant and equipment.
• Assist with renovation/landscape project work as directed.
• Soft landscape maintenance / Pick and Removal of litter and debris.

Requirements, Skills & Experience

• Punctuality with a positive friendly outlook.
• Motivation, reliability, and willingness to learn
• Workplace Health & Safety White Card (Desirable)
• Ability to get to site early mornings.
• Passion for working outdoors.
• Keen eye for detail.
• Willingness to go above and beyond with your TAFE studies.
• Previous work experience operating gardening equipment (Desirable)

Irrigation Service Technician – Trainee

Earn while you learn & achieve a Certificate III in Irrigation Technology

This is an excellent opportunity to gain a nationally recognised qualification while working with industry leaders in the water sector. You will obtain experience, knowledge & skills to plan, design, and install new irrigation systems.

Information

Monday to Friday 38 hours per week.
On the job training and security.
Nationally recongnised qualification; Cert III in Irrigation Technology.

Duties & Responsibilities

If successful you will be working across all sectors of the business in the Perth Metro Area, on range of sites including sporting fields, parks and ovals, construction sites and farms. The work is predominantly outside, physical in nature and in varied weather conditions, using a range of machinery including lifting equipment as well as powered and non-powered Tools.

Requirements, Skills & Experience

No experience necessary – training provided.
Must be minimum 18 years of age.
Ability to commute and hold a valid drivers licence.
Good work ethic.
